1. Introduction
This disclaimer applies to everything we publish and provide - our website, our AI programmes and their materials, the ivee prompt improver application, and anything our team says in a session, a call or a piece of content.
ivee is a trading name of IVY HQ LIMITED, company number 15104292, registered office 9 Claremont Road, Twickenham, England, TW1 2QX. Contact us at hello@ivee.jobs.
Read this alongside our Website Terms of Use, Programme Terms and Conditions and App Terms of Service.
Nothing in this disclaimer limits or excludes any right you have that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
2. Information, not advice
Everything we provide is general information and training. It is not professional advice, and it is not tailored to your circumstances unless we have signed a consulting contract that says so.
Specifically, nothing we provide is:
legal advice. We are not solicitors. Nothing we say about data protection, AI regulation, employment law, intellectual property or contractual risk is legal advice, and you should not act on it without consulting a qualified lawyer.
financial, investment or tax advice. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Nothing we say about the return on an AI investment, cost savings, budgeting or commercial value is a financial promotion or investment advice.
medical, psychological or health advice.
HR or employment advice. Discussions of how AI adoption affects roles, teams and job design are not advice on redundancy, restructuring, consultation obligations or employment rights.
information security or compliance certification. We do not audit, certify or accredit anything.
Always take specialist advice on your own situation before making a decision that matters.
3. No guarantee of results
We deliver education, training and consulting. What you get out of it depends on your organisation, your people, your data, your systems and what you actually do afterwards.
Accordingly:
We make no guarantee of any particular outcome, result, saving, efficiency gain, productivity improvement, revenue increase, cost reduction, competitive advantage, career outcome or business transformation.
Any figures, benchmarks, case studies, examples or results we mention are illustrative. They describe what happened somewhere else, under conditions that will not be identical to yours. They are not a prediction, a promise or a typical result.
Where we describe what other clients have achieved, those are their results, not a forecast of yours.
Any timeline, roadmap or phased plan we provide is an estimate based on assumptions, which we will state. Change the assumptions and the timeline changes.
If we ever offer a specific guarantee, it will be written into a contract signed by us. Nothing on our website, in our marketing, in a proposal or said in conversation constitutes a guarantee unless it appears there.
4. Artificial intelligence - specific warnings
We work in AI, so we want to be direct about what AI can and cannot do.
4.1 AI output is not reliable by default
Our prompt improver, and any AI tool we discuss or demonstrate, uses a large language model. These systems generate text by predicting what is likely to come next. They do not know things, and they do not check their answers.
That means output may be:
factually wrong, including confidently and plausibly wrong;
fabricated - AI systems invent citations, statistics, quotations, case law, product features and people;
out of date, reflecting a training cut-off rather than the present;
biased, reproducing patterns in the data it learned from;
inconsistent, giving different answers to the same question;
inappropriate for your regulatory, contractual or cultural context.
Always check AI output before you rely on it. Verify facts against a primary source. Have a qualified person review anything consequential. Do not put AI output into a decision that affects a person's rights, employment, health, finances or safety without human review.
4.2 We do not control the underlying models
Our application uses a model provided by Anthropic. We do not build, train or control that model. We cannot guarantee its accuracy, availability, consistency or continued existence, and its behaviour may change when the provider updates it.
4.3 Intellectual property in AI output is unsettled
Whether AI-generated material attracts copyright, and who owns it, is not settled law in the UK or in most other jurisdictions. We do not warrant that:
you will own copyright in anything the application produces;
output is original or novel;
output does not resemble or reproduce material owned by someone else;
using output will not infringe a third party's rights.
If you plan to use AI output commercially, take advice.
4.4 Regulation is moving
The law governing AI is changing quickly in the UK, the EU and elsewhere. Anything we say about the regulatory position is our understanding at the time we said it and may be superseded. Do not treat our training content as a compliance position.
4.5 Your own obligations
If you adopt an AI tool in your organisation, you remain responsible for your own compliance - data protection, equalities law, sector regulation, professional obligations and your own internal policies. We can help you think about it. We cannot discharge it for you.
5. Accuracy and currency of our content
We take reasonable care to make our content accurate at the time we publish it. We do not warrant that it is accurate, complete, current or free from error, and we are under no obligation to update it.
Content about AI tools, models, pricing and vendors goes out of date quickly. Anything more than a few months old should be checked.
6. Third-party tools, products and vendors
We often name, demonstrate, compare or recommend third-party AI tools and platforms in our programmes and content.
We are not responsible for those tools, their performance, their pricing, their security, their availability or their compliance.
A mention is not an endorsement, and an endorsement is not a warranty.
Your relationship with any vendor is between you and them, on their terms.
We do not receive commission or affiliate payments for tools we recommend. If that ever changes, we will disclose it clearly.
Vendors change their products, terms and prices without telling us. Check the current position before you commit.
7. External links
Links from our website or our materials to third-party content are provided for convenience. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. A link is not an endorsement.
8. Testimonials and case studies
Testimonials are individual experiences, shared with the person's permission. They are not typical, not verified as representative, and not a prediction of what you will experience. Where a case study describes a client outcome, it describes that client's outcome under that client's conditions.
9. Availability
We do not warrant that our website or application will be available uninterrupted, secure or error-free. They depend on third-party infrastructure. See our terms for what happens if they are unavailable.
10. Views expressed
Views expressed by our team, guest speakers or contributors are their own at the time they express them and are not formal positions of IVY HQ LIMITED unless we say so in writing.
11. Third-party personal data
Our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits submitting other people's personal data to our application. If you do so anyway, you do so as the controller of that data and at your own risk, and you are responsible for the consequences under data protection law. We accept no liability for it, and we will delete it if you tell us it is there.
12. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject always to section 1 of this disclaimer and to the liability we accept to consumers for foreseeable loss under our terms, we are not liable for any loss or damage - whether in contract, tort including negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise - arising from:
your use of, or reliance on, any content we publish or provide;
any decision you take on the basis of our content, our programmes or our application;
any action you implement, tool you adopt, or process you change following our involvement;
the accuracy, completeness or suitability of any AI-generated output;
the acts, omissions, performance or failure of any third-party tool or vendor;
any content on a site we link to.
The full liability provisions, including the specific caps and the different treatment of consumers and businesses, are in our Website Terms of Use, Programme Terms and Conditions and App Terms of Service, and those provisions govern.
13. Governing law
This disclaimer is governed by the law of England and Wales.
